Make the exploration in calm conditions and expect some strong currents. Visibility can reach 100ft. The corals are not too good. Sharks, tuna, travallies can be seen. Brown Rocks (Butulan Rocks) Location. Located 2km south of Bantac, Calanhayaun and Lubutglubut Islands. Access. 3hr journey by banca around the east of Busuanga Island. Average Depth. 60ft. Maximum Depth. 80ft Conditions. Make your journey only in calm conditions. Best snorkelling is found on the west side while best diving is on the west, south and east sides of the southern rock with coral gardens sloping down to 80ft. Tara Island Location. Located opposite the village on the west side of Tara Island. Access. 4-5hr in an overnight trip by banca around the east side of Busuanga Island. Average Depth. 65ft. Maximum Depth. 100ft Conditions. Make this journey in clam conditions visibility up to 25m. Pelagic fish are common despite the light currents. The island houses a Vietnamese refugee camp.
